Melanie Stevens Sutherland
Clinic Director / Registered Physiotherapist

Melanie is a graduate of McMaster University and brings 16 years of experience as a senior physiotherapist to Body Co. She has enjoyed a long tenure working with active populations at prestigious sport medicine clinics. Past clients include Provincial, National and Olympic level athletes as well as members of the National Football League, the Canadian Football League, the Ontario Hockey League, the American Hockey League, the National Lacrosse League and Major League Soccer.
Following the birth of her own children, Melanie developed a strong interest in women’s health. She has taken specialized courses in pelvic floor physiotherapy and women’s nutrition. She is passionate about helping women find strength and confidence in their post-natal bodies following pregnancy and delivery.
Melanie is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy and is qualified to perform spinal and peripheral manipulation. Her treatments are focused on hands on techniques, comprehensive education and supported by tailored exercise programs and healthy lifestyle modifications.

Jordan Fortuna
Manager of Clinical Services / Registered Physiotherapist
Jordan is a graduate of the University of Toronto Physiotherapy program and has since been practicing in orthopaedic settings. He has developed an interest in sports physiotherapy through his many years as an athlete, participating in baseball, golf, snowboarding, and more recently rock-climbing, cycling, and strength training. He has worked with a variety of clientele including athletes from disciplines such as competitive dancing, running, rock-climbing, and mixed-martial arts, as well as non-athletes of a wide age range and ability. Regardless of activity level, he is dedicated to improving mobility, optimizing function, and strengthening to help achieve your goals through the use of an individualized exercise prescription and manual therapy. He also has additional training in sports taping.

Sandra Ghaly
Registered Paediatric and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist
Sandra graduated from Dalhousie University with a Masters degree in Physiotherapy after completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with honours from McMaster University. She has worked with a variety of clientele but has developed a true passion in working with both the paediatric and women’s health populations. Sandra has extensive experience assessing and treating a variety of paediatric conditions and most recently has become certified as a pelvic health physiotherapist. She also has additional training in acupuncture and kinesiotaping. Sandra finds great value in guiding each individual through a tailored rehabilitation program to optimize their function and quality of life. In her free time, Sandra enjoys yoga, pilates, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Kim Porter
Registered Massage Therapist / Sport Massage Therapist
Kim is a holistic pracitioner with over 20 years experience and has completed the comprehensive and accredited 2200-hour program from iTC Kikkawa College in 2012 and is currently in her 3rd year at Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She has completed advanced training and specializes in chronic pain and sports injuries such as concussions, strains, sprains and other soft tissue injuries.
Kim is passionate about her work and healing people in need of answers and results with an array of treatments and options.
Kim's work is often described as "very deep therapeutic massage with a gentle approach to the body". She believes client education and empowerment are key assets within the recovery and/or rehabilitation process. Kim strives to work with each client to ensure optimal and effective results through client centered assessment, treatment and homecareto achieve each individual's health goals. For atheletes, Kim prioritizes injury prevention, maximizes efficiency of movement and muscle control, and manages sports related injuries in a timely manner so that an athlete is able to maintain their competitive edge.

Dr. Kelly Clinning
Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Kelly Clinning is a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor (ND) with a passion for research and evidence-based care. Her clinical focus is in treating women’s health with a particular concentration on reproductive health, PCOS, endometriosis and thyroid health. Her goal is to help women connect with their bodies, understand their
remarkable physiology, and maintain sustainable balance in their health and life.
Dr. Kelly has her naturopathic prescribing license and incorporates natural desiccated thyroid (NDT) and bio-identical hormone treatment into her practice. She also uses nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, and clinical supplementation.
After graduating from Western University with a Bachelor of Science and an Honours specialization in Kinesiology, she completed a Doctor of Naturopathy (ND) degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and is in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.

Peter Johnston
Chiropractor / Registered Massage Therapist
Peter is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, University of Toronto and Kikkawa College. In practice since 2005, he has extensive experience with athletic populations from junior to masters, including working with the National Canadian Diving team, triathletes, runners, racquet sports athletes, dancers and all people that move to live a good life.
Having experienced injuries and chronic pain during his own athletic career, Peter has experienced how disabling common sports and occupational injuries can be. Realizing that the most disabling aspect of pain can be the lack of confidence and guidance on how to restore normal movement, Peter's vision for the practice of orthopedic healthcare is the use of therapy, education and advice to make sure that every patient can move without pain or fear.
Peter is certified to use medical acupuncture as an evidence-based Chriopractor and Registered Massage Therapist. His treatments include comprehensive education, spinal and extremity manipulation, soft tissue therapy, medical acupuncture, tailored exercise programs and healthy lifestyle modifications.

Leah Henderson
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner / Registered Kinesiologist
Leah is Registered Kinesiologist and an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner who completed her clinical work at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. She is a complementary health care provider and believes the body has a tremendous ability to heal itself. She uses osteopathy, a form of manual therapy, to restore balance to the body. She is a McMaster University alumnus and former varsity soccer athlete. She understands that people play an active role in their recovery and recognizes the benefits of both nutrition and exercise.
She completed her graduate work at York University where she looked at the relationship between manual therapy and concussion recovery. With a personal history of concussion she is passionate about research in this field of study.
She has completed additional training in vestibular rehabilitation, paediatric osteopathy, endocranial spasm treatment, nutrition and functional medicine.
In her spare time you can find Leah spending time with friends and family and enjoying the outdoors. She loves to run, climb, cycle, ski or play any sport. She is committed to healthy active living!

Shannon Hulley

Shannon has a Bachelor of Applied Business in Hospitality Operations Management from Niagara College, along with a diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management and a certificate in Event Management. She has extensive experience in customer service and knowledge of personal injury processes. She is always looking for opportunities to grow her experience and work with a wide variety of people.
In her spare time you can find Shannon spending time with her family, friends and husband. She enjoys traveling, camping, swimming, playing baseball and is always up for planning a event of any size.

Allison Madigan
Holistic Nutritionist
Allison graduated from Queen’s University with a BAH in Economics and started a career in the marketing world. Nutrition and wellness were always at the forefront of her thoughts. After 15 years in the industry she decided that it was time to follow her passion and go back to school. She took a leap of faith, resigned from work, enrolled at the Edison Institute of Nutrition and hasn’t looked back. She has been working in the field for 2 years now and loving it.
She has a strong belief in the power of food and proper nutrition to keep us healthy and prevent disease. Her mission is to empower people to make healthy and mindful decisions for themselves to achieve their optimal health and wellness.
Allison has a keep interest in hormone balance, food sensitivities, stress and digestive health. She works with her clients to formulate a plan that will work for them. Her plans will include diet modifications, lifestyle and supplements suggestions as well as some mindset work. She is a local mom of a 9 year old daughter and is thrilled to be joining the BodyCo. Team!

Liseanne Nelson
Physiotherapist
Liseanne graduated from McGill University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and then returned home to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2016. She then practiced in Canada for two years, gaining a wide variety of experience in both the hospital and private practice setting. Her experience includes outpatient amputee rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, complex continuing care, and outpatient orthopedics. Looking to challenge herself further, Liseanne completed her licensing exam for the United States in 2017 where she spent a year working at a sports medicine clinic in Manhattan.
Now back in Toronto, Liseanne is thrilled to join the Body Co team! Her treatment approach consists of a combination of manual therapy, patient education, therapeutic exercise, kinesiotaping and modalities for pain management. Liseanne has additional training in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy and is able to treat a wide variety of conditions including diastasis recti, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain. Liseanne is constantly taking new courses to improve patient outcomes and to stay up to date with current best practices.
In her spare time, Liseanne enjoys skiing, hiking, yoga, running, and playing fetch with her dogs Morgan and Charlie!

Brett Weiss
Physiotherapist
Brett is a seasoned physical therapist with extensive manual therapy experience. He began his academic career at Hofstra University where he received his BBA in Marketing. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy with honors at Utica College.
He has a passion for research and has authored studies alongside top research scientists at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. He has published research in a variety of areas such as; falls prevention, ergonomic design, low back injury in personal care workers and shoulder injury in overhead athletes.
Brett is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and co-founder of ErgoSesh.com, a company revolutionizing the way people work by educating, empowering and guiding them to a safer work environment through fully customized remote ergonomic consultations.
He has completed a variety of post-graduate manual therapy courses and devoted much of his practice to evaluation, differential diagnosis and treatment of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), Headaches and Cervical Spine. He partners with dentists and orofacial pain specialists to develop an integrative plan of care to promote optimal outcomes.
Brett is an avid golfer and is raising identical twin girls and a dog with his wife Emily.

Marissa Reingold

Marissa has a Master of Science in Kinesiology, specializing in physiology and nutrition, from the University of Waterloo. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Medical Science from Western University. Her extensive volunteer work has provided her with experience in client-facing roles and working alongside health professionals to provide care to patients. Marissa has excellent customer service skills and is motivated to provide the best possible service. Marissa is passionate about health and wellness and is driven to promote and educate others on living a healthy lifestyle. She looks forward to continuing to learn about physiology and the different approaches to treatment in healthcare. In her spare time, she loves to engage in workout classes, take her dog for a walk, and spend time with her family at the cottage.
