Body Co. Toronto is a team of health practitioners dedicated to supporting women from preconception through menopause along with their children and entire families. 

Known for our excellence in perinatal women’s health, paediatrics, and family wellness, our team includes physiotherapists and massage therapists as well as an osteopathic manual practitioner, naturopathic doctor, chiropractor, social worker, and holistic nutritionist—all under one collaborative roof. 

 We offer 1:1 therapeutic services and community wellness classes in our environmentally and family-friendly wellness centre, located in the vibrant Junction community.

Hi! I’m Melanie Stevens Sutherland, a Physiotherapist of 22 years as well as the Clinic Director and Founder of Body Co. Toronto.  

This clinic was born 8 months after my daughter was born. My previous business partner and employer didn’t feel I could be both a good mother and an industry leader and issued me an ultimatum that would see me back at work within 6-weeks of delivering my daughter. It forced me to look at the immense pressure put on mothers and the lack of support for them in our healthcare system.

I felt that if women had more flexibility and the ability to prioritize their health, they wouldn’t need to choose between being a capable parent and pursuing their ambitions and passions.

Our wellness facility is a space that offers ultimate flexibility for our patients but also prioritizes their health needs not just as mothers but also as the chief decision makers for the families. We believe that when women have their health, they are better positioned to make good choices both for themselves and their families.
