Who we are

We are a team of highly credible health practitioners known for our excellence in perinatal women’s health, pediatrics, and family wellness. We provide 1:1 services as well as community classes and workshops. Over the last 10 years, we’ve grown from a single room in a local gym to become one of the most respected and enduring wellness facilities in our area.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our New Client Process

Once you book your appointment, you will receive a welcome packet with forms to complete before your appointment. We will remind you about your appointment as it gets closer. 


When you come into our clinic for your visit, our administrative team will welcome you, and then you’ll meet with your practitioner. Feel free to bring your children along even if the appointment is for you! 


We will take time to listen and understand. We will take a thorough health history, review previous lab results, and do any indicated physical exam. You will receive a plan for care, including recommendations on future visits and supportive resources.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from my first session?

Our first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other and to explore what might have brought you to our clinic. Your assessment will include a detailed history, a thorough physical exam, an initial treatment and take home exercises. The first appointment is also the time when we will set goals for your recovery and discuss your treatment plan, including the number of sessions and duration of treatment you will require.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

We suggest that you come dressed in clothes that you can easily move around in and that will allow us to visualize the area being treated. If we are looking at an area of the lower body please bring your current running shoes. We would also be happy to look at any diagnostic test results you may have been given from your family physician or specialist.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

Our therapists do not require direction from a physician to treat you. We do however welcome input from your primary health care provider and we strongly suggest that you check with your insurance provider to determine if a physician’s prescription is required to claim your treatment through your benefits.


Will my visit be covered by OHIP?

We are a private healthcare clinic and as such are not covered by OHIP. For a list of designated OHIP clinics in Ontario, visit the College of Physiotherapists website at www.collegept.org

Are you able to direct bill my private health insurance?

We are able to direct bill most major insurance companies for the majority of our services. It is up to the client to confirm what services are covered through insurance and the specific details of individual plans. Clients wishing to use direct billing must have a credit card on file to cover and difference between the cost of the service rendered and the payment from the insurance company. If we are not able to direct bill, we will be pleased to provide you with an itemized invoice that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What is your cancellation policy?

We request that you provide us with 36 hours notice should you need to cancel or change your appointment time. Individuals who fail to do so may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to the scheduled service. Please note our cancellation policy applies to all illness and weather related cancellations.


How many sessions will I need for my recovery?

During your first appointment, we will set goals for your recovery and discuss your treatment plan, including the number of sessions and duration of treatment you will require. The number of sessions needed varies depending on the severity of your condition and how quickly you respond to treatment. We will regularly evaluate your progress and adjust our approach as necessary to ensure that you receive the best possible care.

Can I get a copy of my clinical chart?

Clients can request of copy of their clinical notes at any time during the course of their treatment. There may also be circumstances where an outside party need a copy of your clinical notes. Charts are only released after we have received written consent to release information by the client or guardian of the client and after the chart release fee is paid in full. Do you accept WSIB payments?

No, we do not accept WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) payments.
